The mission of the Greenville Public School District Security Department is to facilitate the development and maintenance of a comprehensive security and safety program designed to foster an environment wherein students, educators, parents, and others legitimately on school district properties can function without fear of personal violence, harassment, anxiety, or hatred, while staying committed to excellence for all.

The Security Department is comprised of a cadre of eleven officedrs who are trained, directed, and co-supervised by a Chief of Security.
