Mission

The mission of Greenville Public Schools is to provide all students with a quality education that adheres to rigorous and challenging standards so that they will experience success and become productive members of society.

 

 

 

The Special Services department in the Greenville Public School District provides special education at no cost to parents to help meet the unique needs of a child with disabilities in the classroom, home, hospitals, and institutions. The highly qualified staff works with special needs children in the areas of autism, deaf/blind, developmentally delayed, emotionally disabled, specific learning disability, language/speech, visually impaired, or multiple disabilities.

 

Some of the special programs offered include: Very Special Arts, Special Olympics, Student Portfolios, Assembly Programs, Parent Meetings, Educational Enhancement, and PAES Lab which provides a simulated work environment for students working toward an Occupational Diploma.
