“Home of the Owls”
Solomon
Middle School is a Level 3 school with over 500 students in 7th
and 8th grade and 70 faculty and staff. The school sets high
expectations for students by focusing on academic skills and providing an
orderly environment.
The faculty of Solomon Middle School teaches the Mississippi State Curriculum to bring out the best in our children. Academic core teachers are organized into teams called clusters. Each cluster consists of math, science, social studies, and language arts. Our emphasis on math has led us to teach math for a two-period block each day. Each student also has the opportunity to participate in electives of sports, physical education, art, music, or band.

All activities require students to maintain a C average or above.

25 Books Campaign The 25 Books Campaign requires all students to read at least 25 books each year. The purpose of the campaign is to increase the students' vocabulary and ensure that students develop the momentum they need to become regular readers. Our campaign will begin in October and we look forward to your cooperation.
Solomon Middle School exemplifies the light of learning and strives for academic
excellence.
