Mission

The mission of Greenville Public Schools is to provide all students with a quality education that adheres to rigorous and challenging standards so that they will experience success and become productive members of society.

Safe and Drug-Free Schools is a federally funded district wide initiative in the GPSD. Its purpose is to support programs that: prevent violence in and around schools; prevent the illegal use of alcohol, tobacco, and drugs; involve parents and communities; are coordinated with related federal, state, community, and school efforts and resources to foster a safe and drug-free learning environment that supports academic achievement. The district home-school liaison works with on-site coordinators, PTA's, and various agencies to form partnerships which help lead to safe and drug-free schools.
