Mission

The mission of Greenville Public Schools is to provide all students with a quality education that adheres to rigorous and challenging standards so that they will experience success and become productive members of society.

Safe Schools/Healthy Students "Project Crossroads" is a federally-funded consortium of Delta school districts which share common goals and needs. The Greenville Public Schools administers the program for the GPSD, Leland School District, and Sunflower County Schools. Students in these Delta school districts are at a disproportionately high risk of dropping out, initiating or being victimized by crime, becoming teen parents, and/or generally failing to reach their academic and personal potential. Project Crossroads will develop initiatives which will lead to a safe and positive learning environment, intervene early in the treatment and prevention of risk behaviors, and help high-risk students function effectively in the school setting.
