Office of the Deputy Superintendent

The mission of the Office of Deputy Superintendent is to provide support to the Superintendent of Greenville Public Schools and the employees of Greenville Public Schools in the delivery of services that provide for improvement in the academic achievement of the school children of Greenville, Mississippi.

The main functions of the Deputy Superintendent are as follows:

	Serve as the operational officer under the direction of the chief executive officer (Superintendent of Education for Greenville Public Schools.) Provide leadership and direction for the internal operations of the Business Department, Operations, and Academics as assigned by the Superintendent of Education for Greenville Public Schools.
	Act as point of contact for the district in case of absence of the Superintendent of Education for Greenville Public Schools.
	Ensure the implementation of the vision of the Superintendent of Education of Greenville Public Schools in regards to instructional improvement, institutional values, and community development.
